how can you tell this OEM supports Linux and that not? Is there
somewhere a list of such OEMs?

I mean, I've always had ASUS laptops and AFAIK ASUS supports Linux (it
seems you can buy a laptop with no XP preinstalled, this is not the case
in Italy). But the latest laptop I bought is an Intel Centrino one and
IIRC Intel supports Linux. Well, the Intel Centrino WiFi drivers/specs
are not available or not released yet or the Intel 82855GM has some
problems in switching LCD/CRT and in resume.

Mabye have I missed something?

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca
