Subject: Cannot enter S5 with AC power
Date: Mon, 26 Jul 2004 17:59:15 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <41052A53.7060405@drzeus.cx> (raw)
Hi!
Since I applied the latest ACPI patch (20040715) my laptop can no longer
enter S5 properly when on AC power. Instead of shutting down the machine
reboots. If I remove the AC power it shuts down as it should. This
problem does not exist with the previous patch (20040326). Since there
were no patches released between these two, and the difference between
them is rather big, it's a bit difficult determining what change caused
this bug. Could someone who has more insight into what has changed give
me some pointers on where to look for the problem. Also, any
intermediate patches that could be provided would help.
Rgds
Pierre Ossman
