How do I control noise fan(s) on my machine ?
Which switch is there to use to shut him down or lower ?

I'd like to write a tiny deamon-script that periodically looks for the 
CPU-temperature and thus controls the fan(s).

switch on:  echo -n 0 > /proc/acpi/fan/*/state
switch off: echo -n 3 > /proc/acpi/fan/*/state

or the other way round.
