DSDT on suse 9.1

Hi!

I'm hoping somebody can help me?

I'm trying to make an acpi dsdt image to install in the initrd.  I've 
read the docs and I can apparently create a fixed AML and put it in 
/etc/sysconfig/kernel.

I have the modified .asl file - what switches should I feed to iasl to 
get the correct output?  -tc seems to give hex, which I dont believe is 
what I want?

Also, do I need to run initrd following modifying the kernel file to 
install stuff somewhere?

Hi,

Ignore me.  I managed to get this asl file compiled to hex and it spewed 
the same errors as the dsdt already installed with my distro of linux.

The powersaving mostly works and I dont think I'm going to get much 
better.  I'm not too worried about suspend.

Did you verify that it actually replaced the original DSDT? You should
get some message in dmesg after booting.
