Hi
I use Compaq Pressario laptop. There are few fans in it that seem to be
nicely controlled by acpi, except one that is always moving (faster or
slower but it never stops). Firstly I though it was due to a temperature
conditions but all the temperature points are higher than the actual
temperature so it should stop moving.
What I discovered is that when I switch off acpi in kernel startup
parameters, then this fan really stops and it starts moving only if needed.
Question is, can I anyhow have the same behaviour using acpi?
Regards
Przemek
