Hi Silvio,

It will help, if you could provide more information on how does Linux
ACPI not support new white MacBooks.
What exactly happens if you try to boot without acpi=off flag?
Are you able to boot at least with acpi=ht flag?

Regards,
Alex.

It crashes with a blank screen just a few seconds after starting to boot.

It crashes the same way as without acpi=off flag.

Right now I have Linux 2.6.27-11. Should I try with latest one?

Thanks for your reply.

Please first remove "quiet splash", there should be more information on
the screen.

Ok, tried that and I can see a lot of information pass by.
When it crashes the screen goes blank so I don't have time to read it all.
Is there something I should look for?
I'm going to try a couple more times and look for error messages.
Thanks for you help.

This is the last line it shows before crashing into a blank screen:
isapnp: Scanning for PnP cards...
I decided to try booting with the "pnpacpi=off" flag but there was no change.
Will post a picture later. Thanks for your feedback.

Instead of a picture I'm posting a video so I can show all the messages.
It's only 3 MB in size. Download it from here [1]. I can transcribe it
if needed.

Another issue I have is that most times it crashes, MacOS won't boot anymore.
I have to reset the SMC (power management chip) following this
procedure [2], to fix that.
Only mentioning this in case it might be useful for debugging.

Thanks again. Best regards,
Silvio Sisto
