Greetings,

In the ACPI spec there is a section (10.4) on power meters. Can someone
clarify what these meters physically are? Are they external devices or
onboard chips? If they're the latter, how can I detect them and read
their data in userspace?

Regards,

Ken

To follow up on my last email, I have done some more research and it
would appear that these are onboard devices that are presently not
common in consumer devices.

( If anyone has more information on how to get power consumption data
from standard desktops/laptops without the use of external measurement
equipment, I would greatly appreciate it)

Regards,

Ken
