For those of you with the Evo N610C, there's a new version of the
BIOS available, with 'Linux Supports':

ml
I have not tried this yet, but hopefully it has a more compliant ACPI
implementation.

John

Excellent stuff. If it does then ACPI data from both would be useful and I'll add a blacklist entry for the old one that tells people where to get the new one, either by the ACPI data or the BIOS DMI data ------------------------------------------------------- Enterprise Linux Forum Conference & Expo, June 4-6, 2003, Santa Clara The only event dedicated to issues related to Linux enterprise solutions www.enterpriselinuxforum.com ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 7+ messages in thread

I have made requests into the Evo ROM team for better ACPI compliance
(Linux ACPI is much more "correct" than Windows). The N610C ROM is the
first one, and I'm hoping we see more updates for the other models as
well.
