Subject: battery life with cpufreq
Date: Mon, 19 Sep 2005 11:11:01 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <9cfa150205091902116057595e@mail.gmail.com> (raw)
Hello all
I have an dell inspiron 5150, 3Ghz. I have loaded p4_clockmod, and my
CPU frequency now changes with powernowd. It seems to work well.
`--> cat /proc/cpufreq
minimum CPU frequency - maximum CPU frequency - policy
CPU 0 383323 kHz ( 12 %) - 3066590 kHz (100 %) - userspace
`--> cat throttling
state count: 8
active state: T0
states:
*T0: 00%
T1: 12%
T2: 25%
T3: 37%
T4: 50%
T5: 62%
T6: 75%
T7: 87%
However, I am not seeing any battery life improvement.
Any ideas?
Thanks
fred
