Subject: IRQ routing works with ACPI patch against 2.4.20 kernel (was: Interrupt conflict prevents ohci1394.o from being loaded)

This is not a conflict because a shared IRQ. There is no valid
IRQ assigned to the host controller at all.
I am not up to date what ACPI stuff is in 2.4.20-rc2. It may well
be that not all of the features implemented by the Linux ACPI
project are sync'ed to the main kernel. (The feature neded here
could be ACPI IRQ routing.) Look if the current ACPI patch brings
any approvement: http://sourceforge.net/projects/acpi/
Thanks for the pointer, Stefan.
With Linux 2.4.20 (rc4=final) and the acpi-20021126-2.4.20-rc3 patch,
the ohci1394 module (as well as hotplugging of PCMCIA cards!) finally
works excellent with the Maxtor 3000DV 80 GB disk on the machine (OEM
laptop).
Below I've attached the dmesg boot log and the output of "lspci -vv".
