Subject: Laptop ACPI freeze on event...bat,lid,ac
Date: Thu, 17 Nov 2005 12:59:28 +0000 (UTC) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <loom.20051117T135356-183@post.gmane.org> (raw)
I am having a problem with ACPI and system freezes. I have a bugzilla report
opened at http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5442
I could use a bit of assistance figuring out what is wrong. The laptop is a
sharp pcav18 (athlonM 1800). Currently using the 2.6.14 kernel release. The
last kernel that worked was 2.6.11 (Note Knoppix with this kernel works fine).
Whenever the battery state changes (ie insert, remove) ac_adapter, or lid event
happens then the laptop freezes hard and I have to power down and restart.
Suggestions welcomed.
Thanks
Greg
