Hi all --
A quick message to announce:
1) That I've just uploaded a new release of the DSDT patches to the
Smart Battery project page on SourceForge,
and
2) That I've created a new SourceForge mailing list, sbs-linux-announce,
as a way to send out announcements like this in the future.
cheers,
Rich

Unfortunately, it's not yet working correctly on my laptop (An ACER travelmate 4001 Lmi). It's always the case than when the battery is fully loaded, it only indicates 9% of charging level. I have already send you my original and patched DSDT but maybe you didn't had time to look at it. Unfortunately, I doesn't know anything about coding and programming so I can't investigate myself the problem. This is independent of the DSDT (but requires a patched kernel). -- Johan ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users. I've dissassembled, patched and re-assembled my dsdt, set it up as initrd, since I'm not currently using one and fired up the patched kernel. The battery/ac information was ok, but some internal fan kept blowing air at full speed. It's one of those internal fans that I've never seen working under normal conditions, only when the DSDT gets messed up in some way. The laptop is a travelmate 4001WLMi bought in September/2004. Have you got any information regarding this subject? Thanks for your contributions. They're allways welcome! regards, pedro venda. - -- Pedro João Lopes Venda email: pjvenda < at > arrakis.dhis.org http://arrakis.dhis.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCFqR+eRy7HWZxjWERAiJFAKDVdcYdbG1edDvj74jTyMWewNw5CgCdEY+U x6blVR38rYuThoXzyLRXmpY= =5Lq9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
