Subject: ACPI and USB problems (usbnet)
Date: Tue, 27 Jul 2004 02:49:21 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <pan.2004.07.27.01.49.20.567519@hotmail.com> (raw)

Hello,

I have a USB cablemodem (RCA/Thomson DCM245) which uses 2.6/usbnet driver,
and I'm using Fedora Core 2, but this problem remained since RedHat 9, at
least.

If I boot with ACPI turned on (default), the USB device gets disconnected
in random intervals, and later on it will even loose the cable signal
(requiring a reset). If I turn off ACPI (kernel parameter), it won't give
any problems.

What can I do to help fixing this problem?

Motherboard: ECS P4VXASD2
BIOS: AMI version 07.00T, 04/02/01

Tell me what else do you need.
