OT: Looking for reference installation for a school or similar organisation.

Dear subscribers.

I'm currently helping a school to set up a brand new computer network
for use by the teachers, students and administrative personnel. The
school will educate upper secondary students (i.e. Swedish gymnasium).
The network will be used mainly for basic computer operations such as
word processing, calculations and surfing the web, but there will also
be the need for some more unconventional applications like CAD and
scientific applications.

Each user in the organisation will have a home directory for storing
files, a mail address and eventually a www-folder. Another request is
the ability for users to access the network from the outside via VPN.

The school's management is interested in looking at a Linux based
solution as an alternative to e.g. a Windows based solution, but would
like to have a reference installation where we can interview them about
their experiences.

If you know any of any school with a similar installation, preferably in
Sweden, I'll be glad to know.
