Dear All,
Can anyone tell me the way to mount a NTFS partion in Linux ?
Though there is one such option in mount command, I am unable to use it.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Rams,
Use the -t opion in mount;
mount -t ntfs //server/share /mnt/ntfs
You should have ntfs support compiled in your kernel (or you should load
the module)....

You need to make sure NTFS is compiled into your kernel. Only read-only
access is considered stable at the current time.
To check if your kernel supports it "cat /proc/filesystems | grep ntfs"
If you get a line like "nodev ntfs" your kernel supports it.
If not try "modprobe ntfs" and try again.
If none of this works you'll need to compile the kernel with support for
ntfs.
To mount:
mount -t ntfs /dev/hda6 /mnt/myntfsdisk -o rw
(type) (partition) (mount point) (option readonly)
Take a look at the man page for further -o's.
(If the kernel doesn't support NTFS you'll get "mount: fs type NTFS not
supported by kernel".)
