hi,
im using .procmailrc to filter spam. it doesnt seem to work though.
example from .procmailrc:
:0
* ^From.*link2buy.com*
/dev/null
if i telnet to my mail server's port 25 and enter a mail as if from
asdasd@link2buy.com, it DOES get thrown away.
but i still receive mail from this horrid link2buy.com people every day.
can anyone think of an explanation?

Try this instead:
:0
* ^From:.*<*link2buy\.com>
/dev/null
If you are still having trouble, join us at the Email Security Discussion list

There are a few Procmail experts there.
You may want to include the header of the offending email otherwise there's
not much to go by to explain your situation.

I believe you are missing a '.', this matches 'asdasd@link2buy.commmmmm'
but not '<asdasd@link2buy.com>'. Try:
* ^From.*link2buy\.com.*

You are missing a : after 0 ie it must be
:0:
* ^From.*link2buy.com*
/dev/null
try it.
