	zip'd/gzip'd/b2zip'd .  It is windows/dos compressed .
	'file *.tx_' says ': data' .  The file itself is not readable
	except by binary readers/editors .  I have tried all of the above
	compression tools .

	Fyi ,  under dos (which I do not have here) try typing
	'compress' .  There is (of course) a uncompress .  Note in the
	above the file extension .  When uncompressed the extension will

Did you tried cabextract? It unpacks so called cabinet files (.cab
extension), and maybe it can help.

	Hello All ,  I have a set of install floppies for a samsung switch
	(sh2224s) that I can read but can not get at the various txt files
	because samsung in its infinite wisdom has windows compressed them .
	I urgently need to get to those txt/hlp files to find which of the
	files on the floppies are the os/bios code .  My switch keeps
	shutting down & restarting (semi-randomly) so I was going to try
	re-installing the os/bios .  When I goto search good ole Samsung
	they don't even recognize the sh2224s as a valid product .
		Any help appreciated ,  Tia ,  JimL

Try unzip (man zip/unzip)--if you didn't already. Works on windows files
and archives I've received from state agencies where they think Windows is
a standard.
