I've got a PC with a strange network card in it. It's got "MPX EN5038B"
printed on it.
I need to install Linux on this machine, but can't work out what the network
card is. Anyone got any ideas?

Odd you should say that. I just booted my Slackware 8 CD on this machine
and it detected an 8139-based card.
