Hello all,
I've been asked to - as always - very quickly provide a document
suggesting among other things why Linux with Apache and Oracle is a
better choice over Windows 2000 with SQL Server. I can certainly
provide many educated opinions, but am a bit low on hard facts regarding
things like security vulnerabilities, stability, etc.
Does anyone know of any good articles or documents that can help me make
a solid argument in favor of Linux on this matter?
Thanks!

Look for the document "Why open source" (search these keywords) by David Wheeler. It is
downloadable in several formats and has been updated several times over the past few years.
It deals with several aspects of computing, making comparisons. The section you'll be
interested in is the one having to do with DBs, where a number of benchmarks and studies
are presented. The evidence is impressive. I carry a printed copy with me all the time :-)
