I've no idea what you're talking about, I'm afraid. You'll have to be a
little more clear.

Ctrl-Alt-(+|-) creates a "ViewPort" of a larger screen area. It does not
resize the desktop area, and in fact requires that one scroll the screen
with one's mouse. This is by design. My hardware works fine; please
don't patronize me. If you don't understand what's being discussed,
please refrain from responding.
