I recently upgraded from RedHat 7.3 to 9. I am still "recovering" from
the upgrade. B^)
Right now I'm interested in knowing why emails from my POP3 account
which are being brought down via fetchmail and match a REJECT address in
my sendmail /etc/mail/access file are being left on the POP3 server....
Under RedHat 7.3, I would get a message in my log files like:
> Jun 7 23:00:05 kjc386 sendmail[20717]: h58304P20717: ruleset=check_mail, arg1=<bounce-8463814-413@mail126.cavalrymail.com>, relay=IDENT:7keT+AvEXVf1/8zawwvhKL6cnlDkwrUQ@localhost [127.0.0.1], reject=550 5.7.1 <bounce-8463814-413@mail126.cavalrymail.com>... Access denied
Now, I get 2 messages:

*AND* the email remains in my POP3 mailbox to do the same thing the
*next* time I try and download! I have to go in and delete these
message by hand now, whereas, under RH7.3, when they were rejected, they
disappeared!
Is this a sendmail or fetchmail problem? And how do I fix it????
(then its on the other problems from the upgrade!)
