Hi,

I need to run a program - auth_imap - as another user than root.
sudo is not an option.

Does anyone knows how to do it ?

Ant help would be appreciated.

When you say "as another user than root", do you mean that the process
which invokes auth_imap is running as root (so auth_imap will normally
also end up running as root)? If so, then use "su -c".
