Hi
I installed a linux (2.4.1..) on my Laptop and during the boot it hangs in
the following line:
ide: Assuming 33MHz PCI bus speed for PIO modes; override with idebus=xx
dou you have any idea about this?

Try booting with
linux ide=nodma
