Seshu,

I notice that your primary is pointed to smartcom.com.my and secondary DNS
to
your own domain. If you wish to establish another DNS in any other states,
that DNS should be your internal DNS (not seen by Internet). Your secondary
Internet DNS should delegate some zones for your internal DNS server.

Get a good book on BIND by O'Reilly, it does help me on my first DNS setup.

Regards,
Ryan

Subject: Starting of DNS for the new PoP of an existing ISP - procedure

Hi guys,

Ours is an existing ISP in Malaysia with an existing and running PoP in
Kuala Lumpur. Now we are establishing another PoP in a place 200 KMs
away from Kuala Lumpur. My question is, can we use our existing DNS
services for the new PoP also or to start DNS services in the new PoP.
If we are to start new DNS, what are the formalities and procedure we
need to go through.

I would be grateful for any elucidation on the above points from the
enlightened members.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Seshu
