Shorter answer is yes. The driver used will be
different.BUT, the good news is when you go through the
install of the distro of Linux that you decide to use, the
actual driver that will get used will most likely be
installed automagically. Meaning, you might not have to
worry about what driver is being used (although it might
be usefull to know later on in life).
What brand NIC do you have? Since it's a Dell, I'm
guessing either Intel, Cnet or Broadcom.
