Subject: Problem with CD-ROM
Date: Sun, 04 Jul 2004 15:08:29 -0300	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <40E8479D.1080305@personal.net.py> (raw)

Hi, probably this isn't the best place to ask this, but still:

From the console of the Alphaserver 300 4/266 I try boot dka400
(supposedly the CD-ROM... well at least that's what sh dev says) and it
returns something like: no medium found.

I first noticed the problem when I was trying to get a md5sum from the
RH7.1 CD, I was going to re-install linux...

Does this mean that my CD-ROM is dead?

Please, any help will be welcome.

Thanks in advance

Alan Bort.-
