Hi, I have an alphaserver 300 wit 256 RAM and 7 GB HDD (I think)

I currently have RedHat Linux 7.3 installed, however I need to reinstall
it and I thought to install a newer distro. Which one do you recomend?

I use it as a gateway, http, pop3, smtp, dns, nis, ftp server. Those are
basic stuff, so I guess they will run just the same in any distro. I
can't use Tru64 because I can't pay for it. So, which distro do you
recomend, I only need it to have a rather new kernel (2.4 or 2.6 if
possible) and I need it to have gcc. I'll update all other packages if
available.

Thank you very much.
Alan Bort.-
