Subject: + kthread-use-kthread_create_on_cpu.patch added to -mm tree
Date: Thu, 09 Dec 2010 16:45:00 -0800 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <201012100045.oBA0j0Hd016994@imap1.linux-foundation.org> (raw)
The patch titled
kthread: use kthread_create_on_cpu()
has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is
kthread-use-kthread_create_on_cpu.patch
Before you just go and hit "reply", please:
a) Consider who else should be cc'ed
b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well
c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a
reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's
*** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code ***
See http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/stuff/added-to-mm.txt to find
out what to do about this

Subject: kthread: use kthread_create_on_cpu()
From: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com>
ksoftirqd, kworker, migration, and pktgend kthreads can be created with
kthread_create_on_cpu(), to get proper NUMA affinities for their stack and
task_struct.
