From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 From: Bjorn Helgaas Subject: [PATCH v3 12/34] ia64/PCI: convert to pci_create_root_bus() for correct root bus resources Date: Fri, 28 Oct 2011 16:26:31 -0600 Message-ID: <20111028222631.30729.16761.stgit@bhelgaas.mtv.corp.google.com> References: <20111028222432.30729.8431.stgit@bhelgaas.mtv.corp.google.com> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Return-path: Received: from smtp-out.google.com ([74.125.121.67]:9777 "EHLO smtp-out.google.com" rhost-flags-OK-OK-OK-OK) by vger.kernel.org with ESMTP id S932663Ab1J1W0h (ORCPT ); Fri, 28 Oct 2011 18:26:37 -0400 In-Reply-To: <20111028222432.30729.8431.stgit@bhelgaas.mtv.corp.google.com> Sender: linux-arch-owner@vger.kernel.org List-ID: To: linux-pci@vger.kernel.org Cc: linux-arch@vger.kernel.org, Tony Luck Convert from pci_create_bus() to pci_create_root_bus(). This way the root bus resources are correct immediately. This fixes the problem of "early" and "header" quirks seeing incorrect root bus resources. We can't use pci_scan_root_bus() because, like x86, ACPI hotplug currently requires pci_bus_add_devices() in a separate host bridge .start() method.
