Hello,
By now, those of you on CC should have received your invitation codes for
the ARM mini-summit in a couple of weeks time. If not, please contact me
separately and I'll look into it [Magnus -- I'm aware you haven't
received anything yet, hopefully this will be fixed soon].
The invitation email was slightly misleading as it only referred to Tuesday
28 August, when in fact the mini-summit will be held on *both* Monday 27
and Tuesday 28. We will run topics in the morning (and allow an hour in
the afternoon for overflow discussion) and dedicate the rest of the time
to hacking. Initial topic proposals are:
Monday
------
Secure monitor APIs
Virtualisation (kvm/xen)
DMA mapping
Stable platform deprecation
Tuesday
-------
Single zImage
AArch64
big.LITTLE
DMA engine
arm-soc process review
This list of topics already fills the allocated time, but if there is
sufficient interest in discussing additional items, we can try to
prioritise.
We look forward to seeing you in San Diego!
Will [and the rest of the organisation group]

Depending on the exact contents of the above topic and the V4L schedule, I
might be interested and able to participate. However, it seems, the V4L
schedule is going to be quite full too.
Thanks

The "Kernel Summit Attendee Information" e-mail that we have received
on August 22th still mentions that the workshops will only take place
on Tuesday 28, with the ARM workshop being in room Marina 6, starting
at 9:00 AM.
In what room will take place the ARM workshop on Monday 27 ? I guess
the starting time will be 9:00 AM as well, is this correct?
Thanks,
Thomas

Thanks for pointing this out.

That's right, we have the room from 9am both days and plan to start then.
Sorry again for the confusion,
Will

Great, thanks for the confirmation.

Hello again,
By now I suspect most of you have either arrived in San Diego or are on
your way there at the moment. In preparation for the mini-summit starting
tomorrow morning, some useful links are:
Agenda: https://sites.google.com/site/kernelsummit2012/workshops/arm
IRC: #armsummit on freenode
Etherpad: http://pad.linaro.org/arm-mini-summit-2012
David Brown is local to the area, so he can probably advise on places to
eat, visit etc.
We will be looking for people to take `moderator' roles in the topic
sessions, so if you feel that you have something to contribute, please
let us know before the session (otherwise we'll nominate people that we
know are involved in the subject :).
Looking forward to it,
Will

Does this include the Sunday Evening event? If not, are people planning
on
getting together this evening?

ARM summit members are not invited to any KS events besides the one on Tuesday night as far as I know. I will arrive late tonight myself, so I'll see everyone in the morning.

I hadn't planned on driving down just for this evening (it's about 30
minutes away for me).
Ping me on IRC if anyone needs any ideas for dining. Unfortunately,
nothing is particularly close to the hotel, but there are many things
about 5 miles away in several directions.
