ARM can be either endian. arch/arm/mm/Kconfig: config CPU_BIG_ENDIAN bool "Build big-endian kernel" depends on ARCH_SUPPORTS_BIG_ENDIAN help Say Y if you plan on running a kernel in big-endian mode.
