This is largely a repost of v2, but with a couple of minor changes:
- Removed bootargs from board dts files
- Fix up the VIC binding documentation
I've also added a 4th patch which removes the picoxcell specific ioremap
functionality. This could either be applied/folded into the first patch
if Nicolas' vmalloc cleanups go in.
These patches can also be found in a git tree at:
git://github.com/jamieiles/linux-2.6-ji.git for-next
Jamie Iles (4):
picoxcell: support for Picochip picoxcell devices
picoxcell: add the DTS for pc3x2 and pc3x3 devices
picoxcell: add the DTS for the PC7302 board
picoxcell: remove custom ioremap implementation

picoXcell is a family of femtocell devices with an ARM application
processor and picoArray DSP processor array.
This patch adds support for picoXcell boards to be booted using the
device tree registering the VIC's, UART's and timers.
v3: - fixup vic compatible string in binding
v2: - cleanup empty mach headers
- convert to of_platform_populate()
- simplify uncompress.h
- split vic node into 2 devices
- add missing __initconst attributes

This describes the basic hierarchy of picoxcell pc3x3 devices including
clocks and bus interconnect. Some onchip devices are currently omitted
as there haven't been bindings created for them.
v2: - change timer compatible strings to be more soc specific
- split vic node into 2 devices

The PC7302 board can be populated with either a PC3X2 or PC3X3 device.
Add DTS files for both variants of the PC7302.
v3: - remove bootargs from dts files

I would hold off on clock bindings. Grant expressed at LPC the desire to
re-work the binding.

ethernet is the preferred generic name here. See section 2.2.2 of ePAPR.
So it would be "emac: ethernet at 30000"

No edge/level control/settings for the vic? Needs binding documentation.

This seems like Linux creeping into device tree.

Mostly same comments apply here. All these bindings need documentation.

OK, that's fine with me.

I'll take a closer look at that document, I don't think I've spent much
time with it.

No, there's no configuration for the interrupts. The binding is
documented in the picoxcell bindings, but as there isn't a generic
driver yet I thought I'd hold off from doing a separate binding.

Yes, I was trying to come up with a fairly generic binding for the
generic-gpio driver. I can remove this for now if you think appropriate
though.

I followed prima2 as an example here where the device tree lists all of
the devices but only the register and interrupt resources even if there
aren't full drivers/bindings for them yet. I could remove the unused
peripherals for now if you think appropriate though.

I've pulled it into the next/soc branch now, and I'll also pul
Rob's highbank patches in there.
Sorry for taking so long.
There might be a few things that break when this is merged with the
cross-platform changes, so I'm planning right now to submit these
rather late in the merge window to allow fixing any mismerges
before it gets upstream.
