This time I haven't included ARM related patches, so this series should be safe to apply. I skipped the mc13783 driver since I'm not ready integrating the comments from Mark. The main change in the driver is that I splitted out the transport from the driver, so it should be easy to add another transport layer to the driver when SDMA support is merged. This driver replaces it. It works in DMA mode on i.MX21/27 and using an FIQ handler on other systems. It also supports AC97 mode of the SSI units. Right now I can't imagine a situation where this is not desirable. Moreover, if I don't add SYN mode I cannot get it working in my i.mx27 based board with an wm8974. I myself use the asynchronous mode. The MC13783 I use has two SSI ports, one for capture and one for playback. I route both ports to the same SSI unit using the audio muxer. I've been taking a closer look at the driver while trying to get audio working on my i.MX31ADS and did a few updates (which I still don't have working, though I suspect the audmux or iomux rather than the driver). The asoc branch I gave you already contains all relevant patches including the ones I posted on this list. You don't need to apply anything but your own board support on it. I just checked that it compiles and works.
