Unfortunately I can't see a way to specify a patch author in your patch
system, and this patch isn't mine. Doesn't mean there is no way to
specify the author, I just can't see it.

I can really forward this obvious 2-liner to Linus if you can't easily
apply patches contained in email messages. Just say so.
