Hi Marcel,

what should I add to modules.conf to get uinput module autoload?

Thanks

Michal

Hmm I have it and module is not autoloaded :(

crw-r--r-- 1 root root 10, 223 led 11 23:22 /dev/input/uinput

I runs /opt/bluetooth/sbin/bthid -d in script, daemon starts but not auto=20
accepts my mouse which wants reconnect. Blue Led blinks on microsoft BT=20
dongle, but I have to call bthid -c and then mouse is connected.
How to instruct your bthid, Marcel, to auto accept my devices?

Second problem is follows:
My keyboard doesn't work:
Mar 16 13:30:06 notas bthid[740]: Connected: Microsoft Bluetooth keyboard=20
(045e:007b)
Mar 16 13:30:06 notas bthid[740]: Vendor HID usage 0xff00fe01 value 0x1
Mar 16 13:30:06 notas bthid[740]: adequate battery
Mar 16 13:30:06 notas bthid[740]: Vendor HID usage 0xff00fe03 value 0x0
Mar 16 13:30:06 notas bthid[740]: Vendor HID usage 0xff00fe04 value 0x0
Mar 16 13:30:06 notas bthid[740]: Unknown HID usage (0xff00fe04 + 0)

At first time it worked, then I switched off computer and wanted started it=
=20
again, but then bthid writes this into syslog.
I write on keyboard, but no reply is sent into console :(

hcidump but shows data when I writes on keyboard:

do you use a 2.6 kernel?

Do you have special settings in hcid.conf?

The usage errors can be ignored, because they are vendor specific.

So there is a connection and it looks like the HID parser is also
working, but no input events are generated. Do you forget to load or
compile in some extra modules like keybdev for 2.4.

Regards

Marcel

I can't explain this. Maybe you have run an extra "depmod -e".

You started bthid as root, right? The device node for uinput must be
writeable.

add extra syslog() statement to see where your code fails. It is working
perfect with all my Bluetooth HID devices.

Hi Michal,

syslog() is like printf(), but you get your message through syslogd. Try
to track down where the input events are not sent to uinput. I don't see
any problem in the current code.

Marcel I looked through code too and haven't seen any bugs too, but it does=
n't=20
work as you seen.

When I try Peter's bthid 0.8 with fake module, everything works perfectly.

Thats really strange - but I found one thing.

Starts peter's bthid
rmmod fake;modprobe uinput;killall bthid
start yours bthid and keyboard connets=20
stop bthid
start it again
keyboard doesn't reconnect

this happens everytime

Michal

maybe this is the disconnect problem with the Microsoft devices. Take
the batteries out and try with my bthid from the beginning.
