Hello everyone

I've to install bluez on an arm system with a 2.6.7 kernel.
So I've to activate bluez in the kernel, install bluez-libs and bluez-utils.

How to activate bluez support in the kernel?
Is it enough to select (make menuconfig):
Networking Support -> Bluetooth subsystem support
USB Support -> USB Bluetooth TTY support

Or do I have to apply a patch from bluez.org/patches.html?
Is it possible to leave the kernel as it is and make a module for bluez?

Will there be any problems to compile the libs and utils on an arm processor?

kind regards
Marco Trudel

Hi all,

I have Linux Debian with 2.6.8-2-k7 kernel version.
When I check with 'dpkg -l' command, I can see that
Bluez (hcidump, pin and utils) already installed on
system.

Can my bluetooth device (from CSR, firmware
version 525) work with Bluez ?

In the BlueZ website, there are 6 packages to download:
- libs
- utils
- pin
- firmware
- hcidump
- hciemu
Why only hcidump, pin & utils installed on my Linux
Debian ?

So, I'd download libs, firmware & hciemu packages,
how to install these packages and work together with
old packages ?

Regards
Ronny
