  A trivial question...
  Does BlueZ stack support EDR 2.0 mode. For this do  Ineed to enable
any special flag or compilation with som eextra flag needed?

the BlueZ supports Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and it will be used automatically
if the hardware supports it. No special commands or flags to enable it
are needed.
