Subject: [Bluez-users] BCM1000-BTW firmware
Date: Sat, 07 Jul 2007 20:20:56 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1183854056.2609.6.camel@biggirl> (raw)
I've got an Acer Aspire 3610 with integrated bluetooth. I'm not
absolutely sure what chipset it is but the users guide that comes with
the windows software (downloaded from acer's website) is titled
"BCM1000-BTW" so I guess that must be it.
With all the bluez packages installed in Fedora 7 (and previously in
Fedora Core 6) I've never had any indication that it was working. I now
have a bluetooth phone and would REALLY like to get it running.
Can anyone tell me if there's some way to add broadcom firmware or to
tweak something so it works? I've searched all the forums I know and
haven't turned up any meaningful discussion on how to get bluetooth
working.
Thanks in advance!
