Hi
Marcel,
thank you for your answer. I need Skype because all
my friends use Skype. It's right that SIP is the VOIP Standard, but my
friends use Skype and under Windows it works perfectly. I want to kick
windows from my hdd in near future. The OSS-Version of Skype works
perfectly with my internal sound card not the alsa-version.
Unfortunately i dont' know how to use the oss- version with bluez. The
.asoundrc can emulate a dsp device but i do not understand the use of
this file. The alsa wiki describes with examples the use of .asoundrc
but i cannot adopt these examples to bluez. It's too strange for me.
Mplayer runs fine with bluez and my headset but 8 khz sound is not
really hifi :-) I have read in some linux lists that the old btso kernel
driver works fine with skype but i don't want to use an obsolete driver.
Therefore it should somehow be possible to use it with the current
version of bluez. I have tested kphone which is a sip-phone. Also kphone
doesn' t work with my headset. I spent many hours to make a call with my
headset until my wife asked me if i was totally crazy. She started
windows and in 5 minutes she could speak to friends with this headset
and skype. It was a disgrace :-(
Regards
Frank

that Skype sends voice of the Internet doesn't makes it legit to call
it
VoIP. The VoIP is classically SIP, which is RFC 3261. If you tell me
the
RFC number that Skype uses for their protocol, then we can talk about
it. Otherwise it is some vendor bullsh*.
