Hi Marcel

Do you have any more info about this application? I have just revisted bluetooth
now I have a bt enabled handheld again. (This time it's Tungsten T3).

Everything works great - would just like a way of using obex push.

I tried opexftp over rfcomm, the connection got established however the file
didn't transfer:

greebo root # obexftp -d /dev/bluetooth/rfcomm/0 -p /tmp/trace.out
Custom transport set to 'Siemens'
Connecting...failed: connect
Still trying to connect

Thanks!

James

why to you think you can use a Siemens custom transport to connect to a
Palm Tungsten? Actually using the RFCOMM TTY emulation should not be
necessary. Try to make a direct connection over the RFCOMM socket. I
think obexftp supports it.

Marcel

I didn't suggest that I thought the siemens transport was the right one,
in fact this is why I was asking for advice - as is usual for this sort
of thing, user documentation is sparse :)

I do not know how to do obex over rfcomm with obexftp - but perhaps I'll
try ussp-push next...

actually I never used obexftp, but looking at the man page there are two
Bluetooth related options -b and -B. You should try them ;)

ussp-push works fine with a TT1, a TT3 and with a Sony Ericsson Z600.
Sending files from the palms or the phone to my computer using 'opd'
(Obex Push Daemon) doesn't work for me though.
