I thought I would reply to the list, as your
experience has helped me, and mine might help others. 
What is the package name of the KDE bluetooth stuff
you mention?  I don't see "enable dun" from
menu/bluetooth, but from there I can search, and it
finds laptop-0.  I try to pair, and it says pairing
failed.  

For what it's worth, I DO use my handset all the time
with a headset.
