Having done that, however, I still find that I'm none the wiser! So, could you guys give me a few hints to get me started on the right track..? Basically, I have a Palm Vx with a TDK Systems Blue5 attachment, and a USB dongle connected to my linux box (running Fedora Core 4). What I would like to do is set up a BT connection to transfer data back and forth using pilot-link. My problem is, I don't know what the major high level steps towards achieving this goal are - e.g. what should actually happen when a pair is achieved? How is the data transfered - is it through the /dev/rfcomm0 device, as though this were a serial device? My current status is that I can see the Palm from the linux machine and vice versa - but I'm unable to get them to pair - however, from this point on, I've been going round in circles, primarily because I don't really know what *should* happen when they *do* pair! Any advice greatly appreciated! Yours in confusion, Ian ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
