Subject: [Bluez-users] Short question on profiles
Date: Sun, 10 Sep 2006 21:25:36 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20060910192536.GA4150@physik.fu-berlin.de> (raw)

Hello there,

I'm planning to buy an USB-bluetooth adapter to connect my
bluetooth headseat (A2DP) to my Linux laptop (2.6.17.9) to listen to
my MP3s wirelessly. I've especially put my eyes on SONY's
PCGA-BA2, which is very neat and small. According to the
specs it apparently does not support A2DP :(. Before I choose
a different model, my simple question is: Does the list of
supported profiles of such a stick depend on the stick
(Firmware etc) itself or is it the software (i.e. the HCI-driver)
on the PC which determines the kind of profiles supported ?

Long text, but simple question (I hope ;)).

Adrian
