I had tried this for local loopback......the write command

 root]# hcitool cmd 0x06 0x0002 0x01

Hci dump output is
< HCI Command: Unknown (0x06|0x0002) plen 1
 01

Status shows 11 which is "HCI unsupported feature". I am using  a
version 1.1 anycom-120 usb dongle.
