Here's your problem. An RS232 dongle only goes up to 115200 baud. Over this 
bandwidth it has to encapsulate all H4 protocol. Under that protocol it still 
uses xmodem or ymodem (or whatever you're using) to send the actual data, so in 
the end you probably will only get around 8 kbytes/s.

You will probably lose a lot of bandwidth in flow control too.

BT is capable of more than 115200 on the air. If you have a serial dongle, there 
is no way to push more bits than the serial port can handle.
