Hi,

I have a problem with connecting to this access point.

I do following:

fry ~ # hcitool scan
Scanning ...
         00:0D:88:9F:38:A5 DBT-900AP

fry ~ # pand --service NAP -Q -n
pand[7714]: Bluetooth PAN daemon version 2.24
pand[7714]: Inquiring
pand[7714]: Searching for NAP on 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5
pand[7714]: Failed to connect to the SDP server. Function not
implemented(38)

fry ~ # pand --connect 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5 -n
pand[7904]: Bluetooth PAN daemon version 2.24
pand[7904]: Connecting to 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5
pand[7904]: Connect to 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5 failed. Function not
implemented(38)
fry ~ #

Is it possible to connect my pc to this ap or is impossible due to an
unimplemented bluetooth requirement?
I'm using gentoo with
net-wireless/bluez-libs 2.24
net-wireless/bluez-utils 2.24

Thanks,
Maximilian

check with "sdptool browse --l2cap --raw 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5" what this
device really supports. Run "hcidump -X -V" in another terminal if you
encounter any problems.

Regards

Marcel

Hi,

I have a problem with connecting to this access point.

I do following:

fry ~ # hcitool scan
Scanning ...
         00:0D:88:9F:38:A5 DBT-900AP

fry ~ # pand --service NAP -Q -n
pand[7714]: Bluetooth PAN daemon version 2.24
pand[7714]: Inquiring
pand[7714]: Searching for NAP on 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5
pand[7714]: Failed to connect to the SDP server. Function not
implemented(38)

fry ~ # pand --connect 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5 -n
pand[7904]: Bluetooth PAN daemon version 2.24
pand[7904]: Connecting to 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5
pand[7904]: Connect to 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5 failed. Function not
implemented(38)
fry ~ #

Is it possible to connect my pc to this ap or is impossible due to an
unimplemented bluetooth requirement?
I'm using gentoo with
net-wireless/bluez-libs 2.24
net-wireless/bluez-utils 2.24

Maybe it is a PIN problem:
As i can see from hcidump
< HCI Command: Create Connection (0x01|0x0005) plen 13
     bdaddr 00:0D:88:9F:38:A5 ptype 0xcc18 rswitch 0x01 clkoffset 0x0000
     Packet type: DM1 DM3 DM5 DH1 DH3 DH5
 > HCI Event: Command Status (0x0f) plen 4
 > HCI Event: Role Change (0x12) plen 8
 > HCI Event: PIN Code Request (0x16) plen 6
...
the establishment of the connection requires a PIN, but no pin_helper or
anything else is opened. What do i have to change?

Thanks,
Maximilian
