hi to all,
on http://bluetooth-alsa.sourceforge.net/, it is said that i need "a =
recent (2.6.11.7 or newer) kernel with *integrated* alsa enabled"
Ok, in the kernel, it means that i can have <M> or <*> or just <*> ?
regards,
fabrice r=E9gnier

fabrice
it may be compiled either way but the point is that you don't get the
kernel alsa stuff by compiling the modules that are a separate download
from the kernel.

I'm sorry, i don't get you (forgive my english).
I'm running a 2.6.15 and in my .config, all the alsa stuff are selected =
as <M> and not as <*>. Does it mean it is correct yet to make the =
bluetooth-alsa working ?

I know it's a pot shot, but I have
"alias snd-card-1 snd-bt-sco"
in /etc/modules.conf.
Alsa's configuration still mystifies me, I have the same versions of just
about everything you do, very similar configuration (albeit a gentoo system)
and my headset (Sony Ericsson HBH-IV835) is working fine.
Might be worth giving the modules.conf line a shot anyway.

Hi all,
I'm still fighting with btsco :(
FR-PORT:~/btsco/kernel# btsco -v 00:03:89:AB:3D:76
btsco v0.42
Error: control open (hw:1): No such device
Error: Can't find device. Bail
How could i debug this ?
I'm nearly sure it's because alsa conf. I even did uninstall/reinstall =
alsa with no success.
Here is my sound file
FR-PORT:/etc/modprobe.d# cat sound
alias snd-card-0 snd-intel8x0
alias snd-card-1 snd_usb_audio
alias snd-card-2 snd_bt_sco
options snd-intel8x0 index=3D0
options snd_usb_audio index=3D1
options snd_bt_sco index=3D2
Do you think i should give up with bluetooth and play again with my old =
headset with cable ?
regards,
f.

there is a longer example asound.conf in cvs now. update cvs then you
should copy alsa-plugins/asound.conf over your .asoundrc and edit it to
put your headset address in the right spot.
