Thank you Johan that helped a lot with one of my devices,

python .simple-agent.py hci0 00:1A:80:AB:0A:B1

the simple-agent script can be found at the bluez git in its testing
directory: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/bluetooth/bluez.git
