Conclusion device does not work yet on debian sid. I took the latest git of bluez-utils and bluez-gnome build them as you can find info how in my first original topic about the remote. I still needed to use bluetooth-appplet the connect/pair the device. But no input event is created. It seems the xorg patches are not yet in debian sid. I will wait until the next debian update of libx11 and hope an input event will be created when connecting the device. Please see the attachment for more information and logs. Marcel, did you apply the changes you made when on CELINUX in the Netherlands, I can remember some of these changes made an input device at for the remote, and the patch Bastien against libX11 should make xorg understand the events... correct? but currently it seems both systms are not doing working yet.. Best regards, Jelle # Currently the device does not work under debian sid 2008-11-28 # Definition of working: # when succesfully paring, an input event should occur that can be used # with xbindingkeys, evtest and lirc # used latest git of bluez and gnome-bluez # however it seems the xorg paches are not inluded in debian sid # https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16519 # http://patch-tracking.debian.net/package/libx11/2:1.1.5-2 # http://patch-tracking.debian.net/package/x11proto-input/1.4.4-1
