is there a way to check if there is inquiry running by me or any other process? also is there a way to cancel a running inquiry through an API call (I ask for a method other than issuing the command "hcitool cmd 0x01 0x0002")

I am using APIs declared in hci_lib.h not DBus.

another question please, where can I find a complete documentation for APIs declared in hci_lib.h (if there any)?
